World Obesity Day is a global event, held annually on March 4 to bring people together to raise awareness and increase knowledge about obesity and the many other diseases on which it impacts.
Aligned Worldwide
The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) and the European Coalition for People Living with Obesity (ECPO) have aligned their activities under World Obesity Day Europe, to take place on the same day.
Top World Obesity Day Award winners
Organisations from six European countries have won the European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO), and European Coalition for People living with Obesity (ECPO) World Obesity Day Europe Awards for 2020 and 2021.
Among the winners are teams from the Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Portugal, Slovakia, and Switzerland.

COVID-19 and Obesity
The role of EASO and ECPO in this crisis is crucial in the dissemination of science-based information and providing common-sense, evidence-based updates, recommendations and guidance.
Both EASO and ECPO are committed to sharing only the latest well evidenced information and guidance from credible sources.
